Welcome to Verne Vance's website.  Verne's more than 20 years of service as a leader on Newton's Board of Aldermen and on the Newton School Committee make him uniquely qualified to serve effectively on the Board as it works to address a number of issues that are vital to preserving and enhancing Newton's most important assets - its public schools, its beautiful and diverse residential villages, its first-rate public safety, public works, and human services, its lovely open spaces and historic districts and buildings.  Verne is committed to achieving these goals while also finding new ways to enable Newton's seniors and others on limited incomes to handle Newton's rising property taxes so that those residents can continue to live in this wonderful community.
